Overview

Matilda The Musical adapts Roald Dahl's novel with a Tim Minchin score that's as sharp and wordplay-heavy as anything in modern musical theatre, built around a company of real child performers playing the schoolchildren of Crunchem Hall.

It's been a fixture at the Cambridge Theatre since 2011 and remains one of the more purely joyful family shows in the West End, without losing the story's sharper edges around Miss Trunchbull's cruelty.
